Quite sunny in the south, denser clouds in the north: A strong northerly current will cause humid air masses to accumulate along the main alpine crest. The air will become drier towards the south.

The weather

The day will start cloudy in many places and clear up as the day progresses. Dense clouds will persist along the border with North Tyrol and it will still snow unproductively here at times. A northerly foehn will blow in many valleys. After a frosty morning, temperatures will rise to highs of 0° to 8°.

Mountain weather

It is windy and cold on the mountains. Clouds often obstruct visibility on the main alpine crest and a few snow showers may spread from North Tyrol. The sun is often shining in the southern mountain ranges.

The next days

Sunnier: On Thursday, residual clouds will clear in the morning and then the sun will shine widely; during the day, the sky will often be cloudless. There will also be unclouded sunshine on Friday. On Saturday, a few patches of cloud will move through from the west and the sun will fade into the background at times. Sunday will continue with a mixture of sun and clouds.
