The weather

It will be quite sunny once again, especially in the morning. As the day progresses, high clouds will move in from the south-west, which may weaken the sun at times. In the morning frosty, in the afternoon highs between 1° and 8°.

Mountain weather

Initially, the sun will shine mostly undisturbed. As the day progresses, extensive clouds will move through from the south-west and visibility will become somewhat more diffuse.

Partly wintry: The Alps will be affected by moist southwesterly currents and relatively cold air masses.

The weather

Fairly widespread precipitation will occur during the morning. Snow limit between 400 and 700 m, locally lower in the early hours of the day. In the afternoon, the precipitation will ease off in most parts of the region. Minimum temperatures close to zero, maximums between 1° and 5°.

Mountain weather

In the morning snowfall with moderate intensity in all mountain ranges, visibility will be very limited. The snowfall will subside from the west in the afternoon. A total of between 5 and 15 cm of snow is expected, higher values possible in the Zillertal Alps.

The next days

Better weather at the weekend: Friday will continue with very cloudy weather. At first it will be snowing in many places, but in the morning northerly föhn winds will dry the air in most valleys. At higher altitudes, it will remain unsettled for longer. On Saturday there will be a mix of sun and clouds and it will remain windy. Sunny weather is likely to become widespread on Sunday. The north wind will ease. Clouds will increase again on Monday and precipitation is possible in the afternoon and evening.
